Buffalo Criminal Lawyer Discusses Obtaining Youthful Offender Status

As a Buffalo Criminal Lawyer, I am often asked by clients if they can obtain youthful offender status when charged with a crime.  If you are under the age of 19 and charged with a criminal offense in New York State, you may be eligible for youthful offender status. This means that if a court finds that you are eligible, your criminal conviction will be a nullity. It will be as if it never happened. You will not have a criminal record, and there will be no criminal history about any conviction. You still may be punished, and there still may be penalties imposed if you are convicted, but you can go forward in life without having a criminal conviction.

Are you under 19 and have been arrested for a crime?  Contact Buffalo Criminal Lawyer Arthur Pressman to see if you are qualified for youthful offender status.
