    Understanding reciprocity between states and provinces

    There is a reciprocity agreement between most U.S. states to report individuals who are charged and convicted of traffic and driving offenses. New York also reports DWI/DUI/DWAI and traffic violations to Canadian provinces. If you are convicted of an alcohol-related traffic offense in New York, you may be penalized in both New York and your home province.
